Thunderstorms, SMOOOOOKE, Shirts and Hats Pickup, Eagle, More Garlic Processing - Friday

Shitty air quality yesterday even with the storms that rolled through in the morning. All the fires in Oregon were pumping smoke directly at us and it filled the region like fog.

The thunderstorms skirted us and dropped a few sprinkles but left the smoke in their wake.

I thought it was thick around the farm.

But then headed out to go pickup my shirts and found the smoke was WAY thicker in Spokane and the Valley.

Got to Purfect Logos and picked up my hats and shirts. Super stoked to have a pile of new shirts finally.

I drove over to Saltese but the top of the hill was not visible the smoke was so thick. I figured it best to NOT hike and fly given I wouldn't be able to see the landing zone from launch. Plus hiking in that smoke would have sucked big time. So I drove to Stateline to get gas in the car which was $.40 per gallon cheaper than Washington gas.

On the way home the Peone prairie was hidden in the smoke.

I really like my shirts, got short and long sleeve shirts and then long sleeve hoodie style.

2 different color hats which I really like both of.

Another hike up the hill to see the stubborn Bald Eagle that refuses to fly still.

It looked like it was hot sitting there perched on the branch with its wings pulled away from its body. Eventually it has to try flying...

I sat and got more garlic done, 2 1/3 pounds and I had planted 2 pounds...

Took the boys to town one last time for VBS and we met stryeyz@stryeyz at Mod Pizza this time. Finished eating and headed home where I drug all my shirts out to see the array. I need to run them through the wash today and then figure out what I will do with them all. Likely I need to pull the bulk of my decade plus old running race shirts out of my wearing rotation in favor of these.

My body was sore but I still spent the evening getting the Northern White garlic processed. It was 8pm when I managed to finish them. 8 1/2 pounds and I got more than I planted by 5 heads.

Their last VBS today, I need to get a bike ride in early this morning as the smoke has reduced a lot, wash my load of shirts, process more garlic as I have 2 varieties left that are dry and a bunch that need digging still, then this evening stryeyz@stryeyz and I are going to see Kevin Smith at the comedy club after dinner out somewhere.
