Bagyong Ompong has maintained its strength, 14 areas has been placed under Public Storm Signal #1 on Thursday, September 13, 2018.

According to PAGASA, as of 4:00 am today, Typhoon Ompong was located at 855 km East of Virac, Catanduanes packed with maximum sustained winds of up to 205 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 255 km/h.
