Advice for successful marriages

These past few days I have heard of so many couples calling it quits, and while some of them have been trying to make it work for many years, others have just given up. So my brother sent me this, and I felt compelled to share it with anyone who takes the time to read it.

Guard your marriage with your life because many people are boarding up the front door to keep the devil out and he's walking straight in through the kitchen door. Trust the Lord, day by day, to grow your marriage. Settle your differences, don't go to sleep without forgiving one another. And God will prosper not only your marriage but your life, your relationship with Him and your business.

Seems so easy in theory, but putting it into practice is another story altogether.
