An Orange Afternoon: A Series of Photographs
She once again became a painting that etched itself into my mind. This time, she picked oranges and I was there to find the special moment. I etched it even deeper by taking photographs of her betwixt the orchards of oranges. Like the poets, I fixed this moment, not in words on paper, but with pixels on a screen. The poets had a knack for words, the artists for pencil on paper, but the photographers try to imitate both. We are poets by heart and artists by trade. Even though the pencil sketch looks better (to some), the photograph can later be turned into this sketch.
I hope you enjoy this series of photographs of a girl (@urban.scout) picking oranges. One afternoon, after some (virgin) cocktails, we got lost in an orange orchard and you are viewing the product of that afternoon. The sun played tricks on our eyes, and we thought of ourselves as in the land over seas, maybe in Italy or Spain. We youthfully ventured through the fruits until we had to return to the land of Africa. Please do enjoy these photographs.
Postscriptum, or a Sweet Poem to End it All

We concluded our journey and sang songs of youthful bliss. We ate oranges until we could not and we fell to the ground and thought "Life is good".
I hope you enjoyed these photographs of our journey through the orchards.
Happy photographing, stay well.
All of the photographs are my own, taken with my Nikon D300 and Nikkor 50mm lens. The musings and poems are also my own creation.
