COLD SILENCE
Sporadic gunshots echoed from a distance. The 100 million boys were back terrorising again. Nicole and ejiro took to their heels in search of safety...just then Nicole heard Ejiro's scream.
“Her body fell to the ground, the warmth of life stolen away by death’s cold embrace. Synced with her impact to the grass coated ground was the lament of Nicole, who promptly sprinted to her friend, ignoring the fatigue in her swaying legs set in from the ongoing battle.
Nicole was desperate to find any flickers of life or hope left for her dearest friend, but was met with cold silence broken only by the breeze gently blowing the grass that upheld her. Nicole’s friend was gone, stolen from her”.
