Hello dear readers, /Bonjour chers lecteurs,

Four months have passed since my last article, and it wasn't about writing my manuscript, but about my opinion on a book I read.

Quatre mois se sont écoulés depuis mon dernier article et il ne s'agissait pas de l'écriture de mon manuscrit, mais de mon avis sur un livre lu.

It must be said that my manuscript has been finished for several months. I am still looking for a publisher. I started looking among Belgian publishers. Unfortunately, many of them are not accepting manuscripts until 2026 or even 2027. Others have specific categories that do not correspond to my category.

For the moment, I have sent my manuscript to a single publishing house in the Verviers region (Belgium).
I know that I will not receive a reply before December 2025, so I am not worrying about it until the end of December.

In the meantime, I have contacted a publishing house in Alsace (France), via a friend who gave me their contact details, to find out if they might be interested in my book. I am waiting for their reply.

I have also noted down the contact details of other French publishing houses, which I will contact shortly.

Il faut dire que mon manuscrit est terminé depuis plusieurs mois. Je suis toujours à la recherche d'une maison d'édition. J'ai commencé à chercher parmi les maisons d'édition belges. Malheureusement, nombreuses sont celles qui n'acceptent plus de manuscrits avant 2026, voire 2027. D'autres ont leurs catégories spécifiques, qui ne correspondent pas à ma catégorie.

Pour le moment, j'ai envoyé mon manuscrit à une seule maison d'édition, dans la région de Verviers.

Je sais que je n'aurai pas de réponse avant décembre 2025. Je ne m'en tracasse donc pas avant fin décembre.

Entre temps, j'ai contacté une maison d'édition alsacienne, via une amie qui m'en a donné les coordonnées, pour savoir s'ils pourraient être intéressés par mon livre. J'attends leur réponse.

J'ai aussi noté d'autres coordonnées de maisons d'édition françaises, que je contacterai sous peu.

In addition to this, I am still under business incubation until at least the end of January for my freelance secretarial work. It takes me quite a bit of time to prospect and network in order to make myself known to potential clients.

I recently attended an information session on Peppol electronic invoicing, which was attended by several freelancers from my local area. It was an opportunity to build relationships.

I will be contacting one of them very soon to join a meeting of a local business circle, as he suggested.

It's time for us to see the positive results of our efforts; we really need them.

A côté de cela, je suis toujours sous couveuse d'entreprise, jusque fin janvier minimum pour mon activité de secrétariat indépendant. Cela me prend pas mal de temps pour prospecter et réseauter, en vue de me faire connaître auprès de clients potentiels.

J'ai récemment assisté à une séance d'information sur la facturation électronique Peppol, à laquelle assistaient plusieurs indépendants de mon entité. C'était l'occasion de nouer des relations.

Je vais d'ailleurs recontacter l'un d'entre eux très prochainement pour me joindre à une réunion d'un cercle d'affaires des environs, comme il me l'a proposé.

Il est temps pour nous de voir des retombées positives de nos efforts, nous en avons grand besoin.
