My favourite city of Pakistan
Hey ๐ค
Today I want to share about my favorite city of Pakistan (Abboattabad).
Abbottabad is located in KPK province, Hazara division.
Let's explore this city together with lot of beautiful sceneric pictures.
This city was founded in 1853, by Major, Sir James Abbott, first deputy commissioner of Hazara region
that's why this city was named after him
Abbott - Abad.
City was specifically designed as a Major Military cantonment and administrative center.
After independence of Pakistan in 1947
Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) at Kakul was established.
Pakistan's best schools are also located in Abboattabad, dream of every parent to enroll their children there like
- Abboattabad Public school
- Burnhall school
-Ayub medical college
City is approximately (1,256 meter ) (4,121 feet ) above from sea level.
Hindko, pashto, and Urdu are commonly spoken languages.
From Islamabad it's 103 km, a 2 hours drive by motorway, but there are 2 more roads lead to abboattabad one is by Murree Galiyat/ hill road, another is GT road via taxila haripur.
Due to road condition it will take long but worth the breathtaking scenic drive.
Maize ๐ฝ is the main crop.
Abboattabad get global recognization when Al Qaeda leader Osama bin laden was killed in this city.
I am in love with this city, whenever someone from Karachi visits me I must take them to visit abboattabad.
Once a year, I visit and have peaceful few days here.
The Cantonment area is beautifully situated on hill.
I mostly go by walk to explore every inch of this beauty and enjoy the amazing weather.
There's Pakistan longest Cable ๐ car near Kakul, 2.5 km of this aerial journey with lush green mountains and river flowing down is never forgettable moment.
Even you will find local cable carrier after every km from one mountain to another which villagers use to commute from city to the village.
Once I lived in a cottage far from city that was totally a different experience.
One of my favourite things is to sitting with the wild flowers by fields. I sometimes bring my crochet with me, walk sometimes and collect interesting stones, twigs & dried leaves for DIY.
Sometimes I am also there with no action at all. The pleasure of breathing the pure, fragrant air, tranquility that nature provides.
