THINGS SCHOOL DIDN'T TEACH ME
Hello Hive Learnersš, today i want to reflect on something I've learned outside school š«
School taught me how to read, write, and pass exams. Iām grateful for that. But as I grow, Iāve realized that some very important lessons were not taught in the classroom.
One thing school didnāt teach me is how to manage emotions. We were taught mathematics and English, but no one really taught us how to handle disappointment, fear, or pressure. I had to learn that itās okay to feel overwhelmed sometimes and that resting does not mean giving up.
School also didnāt teach me how to fail and still move forward. Failure was often treated like the end, not a lesson. Outside school, Iāve learned that mistakes are part of learning and that failure can be a teacher if weāre willing to listen.
Another thing school didnāt teach me is self-belief. Grades were important, but believing in myself mattered even more. I learned that my value is not only in my results but also in my effort, growth, and consistency.
Lastly, school didnāt teach me that learning never ends. Real learning continues outside the classroomāthrough experiences, reading, observing others, and reflecting on life.
These lessons didnāt come from textbooks, but they are some of the most important things Iāve learned.
*What are some things school didnāt teach you?
*Do you think learning outside the classroom is important?
*What life lesson did you learn recently?
