Jane had just gotten out of the shower when she heard some heavy footsteps that seemed to come from below her window. She tried to stay calm for a while maybe, to hear it the second time but she heard nothing. She carefully hastened up in her dressing and tip toed to Jake's room since that was the perfect place to get a view of the downstairs.

The door of his room was flung open, which was unusual for Jake to do. She stood by the door in a whisper.

"Jake, Jake, are you there? What's up?"

There was a long silence which complemented her instincts to say Jake wasn't in there.

"Where could my twin brother be?" Jane thought to herself. So many random thoughts in her head as she took a peep into his room.

On the bed, laid some princess, nut-cracker toys, some of which they had earlier seen at the toy store downtown.

"But Mom didn't have enough money to get us these toys before she travelled. How did Jake get them?"

So many Uncertainties laid in Jane's mind as she dialled her uncle's phone, leaving him a voice message. In sobreity, she walked downstairs to go find Jake, hoping he hadn't gotten himself into some trouble.
