Evelyn, an old woman, was a resident of small town, a place called Willowbrook. The kitchen was such an integral part of her life. She had spent her entire life cooking and cooking and her home was filled with the scents of spices and warm aromas of homemade meals it gave her such a wonderful feeling. But, slowly and gradually the age was tightening the grip around Evelyn and she was starting to feel unmotivated and tired in the kitchen.

Finally, she was going through the old recipe box, and an old card appeared. This one had "Stir It Up Soup" written on it. The scented air reminded her of the days when she was in the kitchen with her late husband John, enjoying their cooking experiments together. In order to rediscover her passion she pondered over the possibilities and then decided to remake the soup.

When she stood up to chop vegetables and pour the pot she found herself caught up in the rhythm of cooking. I could imagine each ingredient jumping to my mouth with its single burst of robust flavor, each of her stir of love she had put into her meals over the course of years. The soup’s aroma infiltrated her entire house and kindled her senses back to life plus also cranked her enthusiasm for cooking.

In the evening that day, Evelyn invited the neighbors for join in tasting her invention. In the silence and warmth of this room as they ate their favorites, humor and conversation bubbled from all of them. That patch of time when she shook up the soup pot had imparted to Evelyn not just the pleasure but even a loyalty with the people around her.

From that moment on, Evelyn owned the entire kitchen space. She poured that love and creativity into each dish. Still, with years she grew older, but her love of cooking was as strong as before – just a stirring has the tendency to turn on this inner fire.
