Creative development

In order to honor the great work being done by doctors and health care personnel, in the covid-19 pandemic, I designed this woven stethoscope to interact with our LOL dolls, Disney princesses and Barbie, creating a world where they practice this beautiful profession as medicine, to save lives, protect us and cure us of disease.

In addition, this interaction and game allows to make a stay at home very fun for the little ones.

Stethoscope

Stethoscope, is an acoustic device used in medicine, nursing, kinesiology, phonoaudiology and veterinary, for auscultation or to hear the internal sounds of the human or animal body. It is usually used in the auscultation of heart sounds or breathing sounds, although sometimes it is also used to objectify bowel sounds or murmurs by abnormal blood flows in arteries and veins. Examination by stethoscope is called auscultation.

The stethoscope is made up of two rubber tubes that end in two olives that fit into the ear. These tubes are connected to another tube that contains a diaphragm and a bell, which amplify the auscultation sounds.

Materials

Needle (1.45mm or 3)
Crochet thread (color: Black and grey)
Scissors

Crocheted fabric

First we weave 3 small circles in the following way, we make 10 low points in a magic ring.

We make a quarter circle bigger, weaving 10 low spots in a magic ring and then a second turn we weave low spots for each spot.

The following 4 circles are left, as shown in the image below:

Then we take the big circle and we make a gray slipped stitch, we knit 10 chains and we link it with a slipped stitch to one of the small circles and we go back knitting over the low stitch chain, and in the same way we link the other two small circles. As shown below:
