Easy come easy go

Echeveria Setosa var. Deminuta bw 4.jpg

I was very happy to be able to get this one not so long ago. Even though the flowers were basically dead already and there was no new flower stems. It didn't matter. The plant was cool, big and looked very healthy. I found ID for it too - Echeveria Setosa var. Deminuta.

I got it home, took some photos, left it to adjust for a few days and then repotted it to a new, proper succulent soil. I do that with all plants and most of the time there is no issue.

Well... this one is no longer with us.
Some time after repotting two rosettes died. I though that maybe I damaged the stems, so the balcony was too much for them. But after there there was another one... and another one.
I took it back home to keep in milder conditions, but the dying didn't stop. Some of the bigger ones looked ok the longest, but even they eventually just went kaput. And it was a very speedy process - one day they looked ok and green, the next day I was picking up dead leaves from top of the soil.

The last little rosette I decided to trim and treat like any other succulent cutting. That didn't work either.

Usually I know that I did something wrong (overwatering, underwatering, cooking on the sun, you name it) or when the bugs did their job. Here, within two weeks everything was gone. I still have no idea why.

Such a shame. It was a very nice, fuzzy plant.
