Posting when you have Something to Say

Posting when you have Something to Say @EverNoticeThat httpshive.blog@evernoticethat.jpg

I was commenting recently about sleep schedules, and I shared that I like to post when I have something to say. At times, new posts spring up out of engagements I have either here on Hive or on Twitter and the wider internet itself.

And when it comes to Twitter, you might want to stay away from my tweets as they can get pretty heated, especially when I see HOMELESS US military veterans being abandoned in the streets while we pour hundreds of billions of dollars taking sides in yet another European war.

The Europeans are NOT our allies. They're parasites taking advantage of (and feeding off of) the American taxpayer.

Don't get me started...

I don't ever try to force anything or push myself to post when I'm just not feeling it. There's a lot on my plate here taking care of a beloved elderly person and writing for multiple platforms. I want my writing to flow naturally, so I enjoy those windows of time where I have the luxury of posting daily.

And it is a luxury, for me...

Being Authentic

There's an importance that I place on being authentic when I express myself as a content creator. The space between posts where I tick-tock between here and the other platform, make for a richer experience overall where cross-pollination can occur organically, and that's what makes this fun.

Some Hive veterans admonish authors here for not posting every single day even when they have nothing to say. You can recognize the forced writing that these people engage in in order to please some members of the old guard.

As if they're robotic employees chained to a desk and punching a time clock at the end of their shift. I don't give a rats ass what those guys say, as in some cases, I've been here longer than they have and they've rarely supported my work on Steemit/Hive since my arrival way back in 2016.

I post when I have something to say and the time to actually say it properly.

I was invited recently to write for a new (to me) community, but communities aren't hopping like they used to. The ones I had posted in for years, suddenly changed without warning, and lost the free-spirited exchange of ideas that they once had. So I mostly just post independently nowadays, less drama.

What's that old saying? "If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life" and that's exactly what I feel about being a content creator. Let your writing flow like a refreshing stream of water nourishing both your readers and yourself, while leaving a legacy you can be proud of.
