• Una mariposa amarilla

A yellow butterfly

Las mariposas amarillas siempre me han parecido seres de buen augurio; justo hoy busqué en la web si esto tenía algo de cierto y, pues, así es, están relacionadas con la buena suerte y también guardan relación con la alegría.

I've always thought of yellow butterflies as a sign of good luck; just today I looked it up online to see if there was any truth to it, and sure enough, they're associated with good luck and are also linked to joy.

Entonces, cada vez que me encuentro por el camino con alguna de ellas, me genera mucho optimismo. Me lleno de un sentimiento revitalizador. Esta hermosa mariposa se quedó muy quieta mientras le tomé algunas fotografías, y abrió sus alas en todo su esplendor.

So, every time I come across one of them along the way, it fills me with optimism. I’m filled with a revitalizing feeling. This beautiful butterfly stayed very still while I took some pictures of it, and spread its wings in all their splendor.

Shopping at Mundo Total

Suelo pasar una que otra vez por Mundo Total, pues me gusta ver la oferta de productos que tienen. No crean que cada vez que voy compro algo; la verdad es que a mí me gusta ver productos por el simple hecho de verlos. A quienes les digo esto suelen decirme que solo van a una tienda si van a comprar, pero no soy así (lol).

I usually stop by Mundo Total every now and then because I like to check out their selection of products. Don't think I buy something every time I go; the truth is, I just like looking at products for the sake of looking at them. When I tell people this, they usually say they only go to a store if they're going to buy something, but I'm not like that (lol).

Ese día que fui a la tienda sí pude comprar varias cosas, e hice uso del crédito que ofrecen, que bastante ayuda a adquirir productos en una economía deprimida. Se paga el 50% de la compra y luego el restante se cancela en tres cuotas. La verdad es que este plan de pago me ayuda para adquirir ciertos productos y la tienda tiene mucha variedad, desde alimentos, ropa, electrodomésticos, farmacia, ferretería, entre otros productos.

That day when I went to the store, I was able to buy several things, and I took advantage of the credit they offer, which really helps when buying products in a struggling economy. You pay 50% of the purchase price up front, and then the remainder is paid in three installments. The truth is that this payment plan helps me buy certain products, and the store has a wide variety of items, including food, clothing, appliances, pharmacy items, hardware, and more.

Subir el cerro El Morro siempre me trae mucho aire fresco, literalmente hablando. Amo los diferentes paisajes que puedo disfrutar, así como el trinar de los pájaros en el camino.

Climbing El Morro Hill always gives me a breath of fresh air—literally. I love the different views I get to enjoy, as well as the birdsong along the way.

Últimamente, como hay mosquitos en el camino, me toca trotar a juro para escapar de ellos (lol), pero aun así me gusta esta actividad. Hay dos subidas y la primera es la de Virgen; casi siempre llego hasta allí, pero en ocasiones me motivo a ir más arriba a la cima del edificio azul. ¡Y sí que es cuesta arriba! Claro está, la vista desde allí es incomparable.

Lately, since there are mosquitoes along the way, I have to jog like crazy to get away from them (lol), but I still enjoy this activity. There are two climbs, and the first one is the Virgen climb; I almost always make it that far, but sometimes I push myself to go higher, all the way to the top of the blue building. And boy, is that an uphill climb! Of course, the view from up there is unbeatable.
