Hello everyone. In this photo, I captured an everyday scene on the streets of Cuba: very early in the morning, the vast majority of workers leave their homes and head to the public transit stops. Currently, due to the fuel situation on the island, there isn't enough public transportation, and only one or two guaguas (buses) per route run very early in the morning. The only other time a bus passes by is in the afternoon. Because of this, transit inspectors have been stationed at every stop; they are in charge of pulling over government-owned vehicles so that workers can make it to their workplaces on time.

​It’s an unpleasant situation for everyone: drivers don't have work, people have to walk long kilometers when there are no inspectors at the stops, and the inspectors have to pull all kinds of stunts just to get state-owned cars to pull over and pick people up, since they don't have that level of empathy on their own.

For the photos, I used my Xiaomi phone with the following settings:

Hola a todos. En esta foto capturé una escena cotidiana en las calles de Cuba: bien temprano en la mañana la gran mayoría de los trabajadores salen de sus casas hacia las paradas de transporte público. Actualmente, debido a la situación del combustible en la isla, no hay transporte público suficiente y solo funcionan una o dos guaguas de una ruta bien temprano en la mañana. El otro horario en que pasa una guagua solo es en la tarde. Debido a ello, han colocado inspectores de transporte en cada parada, los cuales se encargan de detener a los caros estatales y así los trabajadores pueden llegar a tiempo a sus respectivos centros de trabajo.

Es una situación desagradable para todos: los choferes no tienen trabajo, la gente tiene que caminar largos kilómetros cuando no hay inspectores en las paradas y los inspectores tienen que hacer musarañas de todo tipo para que los autos que pertenecen al Estado se detengan y transporten a la gente, ya que por sí solos no tienen ese grado de consciencia.

Para las fotos utilicé mi celular Xiaomi y usé los siguientes parámetros:

Apertura: f/2.2
Velocidad: 1/1200s
ISO: 100.
