Jesse Lund: Bitcoin Will Reach $ 1 Million

Jesse Lund's Prediction Regarding Bitcoin Prices

The vice president of Blockchain and digital currency for IBM, Jesse Lund, said that he expects the price of Bitcoin (BTC) to finally reach $ 1 million. Lund made predictions during a comparison interview and the Finder.com news platform, published on YouTube on February 20.

Towards the end of the interview, Lund was asked what he expected from the price of Bitcoin. He predicts that it will be higher than the current price.

"I see Bitcoin at one million dollars someday."

Lund explained that he "likes that number," given that "if a Bitcoin is worth a million dollars, then satoshi is equivalent to the value of US cents." He noted that at such a value, the entire network would have more than $ 20 trillion in liquidity. He then suggested that liquidity could change company payments and high-value payments in general.

"I saw maybe $ 5,000 at the end of the year, but I saw a much higher upward trajectory."

During the interview, Lund also spoke about IBM's collaboration with Stellar (XLM) and the use of original network assets in IBM's cross-border payment network, the Blockchain World Wire (BWW). As previously reported, IBM uses XLM in BWW both as an intermediary currency and to pay transaction fees.

Lund also revealed that the company is considering working with various other digital assets, explaining that they believe "there must be ecosystems, various digital assets that provide settlement instruments that enable cross-border payments, and participants in the network must be able to choose and negotiate options they are in real-time.

"It could be Ripple, even XRP, it could also be Bitcoin, but it might also include other instruments, such as stabecoin, and even eventually - hopefully - digital currency issued by the central bank," he said.
