Mid-morning light in a garden

Just in between a coffee and a late breakfast, I decided to wander around a communal garden. There is a lot to see, and the tiny details are always beautiful.

This shrub, known as bottlebrush, is a favourite of bees and hummingbirds. The time I spent next to and under it, I heard buzzes and felt the swift movements of winged things.
It may seem a simple shot, but taking the photos of the bee was indeed difficult. On one hand, the sun was shining bright, and I could hardly see the screen of my cellphone while trying to adjust the focus. On the other hand, my multifocal lenses didn't help a bit. Still, I came by with a decent couple of pictures.

The bark of the tree is also interesting, not only because of its texture—that you cannot see here—, but because of the lichens and mosses on it.

Moving on to a pine shrub, I found two little epiphytes: an orchid and a bromeliad.

And walking some five meters, the twists and turns of an aloe:

Another bromeliad like a little pond:

The last one is a species of guava. The fruits are immature, so I will have to wait a bit before I can eat some:

I took the photos with my Redmi Note 8 and edited them using Snapseed.
