I'm currently working with the Scorum devs to make a SteemConnect-like extension. This will enable all kinds of 3rd party DApps on the platform.
How it works is that little chrome extension manages your keys securely on your computer, and when a transaction is about to be broadcasted on the blockchain, it asked for your permission using your account. You can cancel that transaction at any time. This way you get full control on who uses your key and at what moment.
This took a very long time on Steem, so I'm glad the Scorum devs are already working on such a solution.
