Earlier this week, in a chat with @inthenow and @veteranforcrypto, the CAV token was born. Cavalry Coin is a representation of our commitment to helping the veterans through the immutability of our powerfully suitable Hive ecosystem. Par for the course, 100% of the rewards for this post will go to the cause.

I issued a post recently, titled 🤔What If..., (that if you haven't read, please go do so now and come back here) that outlines several of the things we are aiming to accomplish. Through the sales of the new token, we are taking half of the profits from the first 10,000 sold and powering up the @tokencav account to give back a little and throw some votes out there for the token holders. After that, we will continue to add 25% of the revenue until the account reaches 50,000 HP where we will stop. A power down will be initiated once a month and the excess from anything over the 50k will be used in our efforts to help the vets.

Token Specs

These are nothing overly special, but do reflect a few things that honor some plateaus. We set the total supply to 21 million to pay homage to the coin that brought us to this point. We also settled on a precision of 3 decimal points, as that is what HIVE itself is typically issued with. We will also never sell any token for anything more or less than what HIVE's current market value is. You will always be able to purchase CAV for 1 HIVE each. There will be no buybacks as all the funds will be used to garner projects as mentioned in the 🤔What If... post. Consider it your loving donation that will be put to good use.
