You only need to believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It merits a new birth as indicated by the Lord Jesus Christ in the Gospel of John 3: 3, "Jesus answered and said to him: Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever is not born again cannot see the kingdom of God." .
