207 DAYS IN || MY PATH TO KOREAN

It's been 207 days since I decided to start learning Korean, and it still surprises me seeing the numbers.

Two hundred and seven days sounds really serious and it took a lot of effort. But when I started, I did not really think of the days at all.

It was tough at first, I would learn ten words today and forget five tomorrow. But forgetting is also a part of learning, and I got better at keeping them.

There came the reading, vocabulary and the grammar which made me want to quit at some point because their order felt backwards to me.

Korean became more than just a language to me as the days passed. I saw how respect is built into the language, their cultures and habits as well.

I usually study for hours, watch videos and listen to Korean speeches.

Listening was and is still hard for me, but at least now I can get some familiar words.

Korean is not an easy language, so why did I choose it. It takes time and patience, but the answer is simple, because it makes me feel that sense of awakening, because learning it challenges me. And I love a good challenge.

Learning Korean is no longer something I force myself to do, consistency makes my learning perfect.

I'm not fluent yet, nor am I where I really want to be. But I'm far from where I started, and that also matters.

Two hundred and seven days ago it was still all so weird to begin with, but the fact that I can speak and understand a little bit, is something I'm really proud of.

There is still so much for me to learn but I trust the process, it has already become a part of my story.

And the important part? I'm not going to quit.
