Osaka Castle by Night
Hello everyone,
Today I would like to share with you some night photography of Osaka Castle! It was right during the cherry blossom season (about 2 weeks ago actually) and the scenery was just gorgeous.
We were participating to a “Hanami”, litteraly meaning “flower viewing”, but it rather consists in drinking and eating under the cherry trees xD. And before we even noticed it was completely dark andthe castle was illuminated above us !
That night, we were lucky to see the castle illuminated in blue ! Usually, the night illumination is white, but for this special occasion, they used blue light, giving the illusion that it is made of ice.
Even if the castle is actually in the middle of Osaka City, you can see that there is almost no light pollution from the city. It makes the experience even better to my opinion. That tall and big castle dominating the park and the city, highlighted by the cherry blossom is amazing.
In general, Osaka Castle during the cherry blossom season is a sight to behold, and capturing it through the lens of a camera is a very enjoyable experience. This may be also one of the most “cliché” things to see in Japan: traditional old style castle and cherry blossom !
That’s it for me for today, I hope you enjoyed these pictures of Osaka castle by night!
Thanks for reading to the end, and as always, feel free to leave a comment!
