Honestly, I would be a good mother-in-law. I say "would be" because, although my sons have had girlfriends, nothing serious has happened yet. However, that doesn't mean it's been easy for me. Imagine: watching my sons take their first steps in love.

And it's not love that worries me, but rather heartbreak and disappointment.

While it's all just theory, or they haven't even brought them home to meet me, my husband and the father of my children team up to tease me. Being men, they see everything differently.

According to them, our sons are going to have a very hard time with me as their mother-in-law.

However, life has proven that I am an exceptional mother-in-law. All the daughters-in-law who have come to live in my house have left with the highest opinion of me 😊.

I am who I am, and I won't change for anyone. If my children find good women who love and protect them, then I will be, not their mother-in-law, but their most loyal friend.
Anyone who loves my loved ones will be loved by me. However, anyone who harms my children or my family in general will never have my approval, much less my affection.

Not my hatred, since that is a very negative feeling, and I don't harbor such feelings. But they also won't receive the benefits of being my friend.

With that in mind, I'm sure that yes, I will be and have been a good mother-in-law, regardless of what @abelarte and the father of my children say 😏.

Sinceramente, yo sería una suegra buena. Digo sería, ya que mis hijos, aunque ya han tenido novias, de momento no ha sido nada muy serio. Sin embargo, eso no quiere decir que haya sido fácil para mí. Imagínense: es ver a mis hijos dar sus primeros pasos en el amor.
Y no es el amor lo que me preocupa, sino las desilusiones y corazones rotos.

Mientras todo es teoría o no las han llevado a casa para presentármelas, mi esposo y el padre de mis hijos se unen para hacerme bromas. Ellos, al ser hombres, ven todo de otra manera.
Según ellos dos, nuestros hijos van a pasar muchísimo trabajo conmigo como suegra.
Sin embargo, la vida ha probado que soy una suegra excepcional. Todas las nueras que han pasado por mi casa, se han llevado la mejor opinión de mí 😊.

Yo soy como soy y no cambiaré por nadie. Si mis hijos se encuentran a mujeres buenas, que los quieran y protejan, pues yo seré, no su suegra, sino su amiga más fiel.
La persona que quiera a mis seres queridos, será querida por mí. Sin embargo, el que le haga daño a mis hijos o a mi familia, en general, nunca tendrá mi mejor rostro y mucho menos, mi afecto.
No mi odio, ya que ese es un sentimiento demasiado negativo y no soy de tenerlos. Pero tampoco obtendrá los beneficios de ser amiga mía.

Teniendo esto en cuenta, estoy segura que sí, seré y he sido una buena suegra, independientemente de lo que digan @abelarte y el padre de mis hijos 😏.
