The Haven's Final Show - Beyond Epic Farewell- Part 1 feat. Rhymewave
This is likely the most memorable 3 part video series I have ever documented, and marks the end of an all too short lived era for me and what has come to be my second home, The Haven. I only started coming to The Haven a few short months ago, but have since attended many events, and every single one has been absolutely nothing short of stellar, with each individual event holding an unmatched level of unique creativity.

I feel like I was just starting to get to know all the high spirited and like minded folks in this community, but at least there is solace in knowing that our collective is getting a new (and much bigger) home, that will actually be even closer to where I live. Still, I will always cherish the memories made in the intimate atmosphere of this building that seems to have a spirit of it's own.
Bless... what a way to go out though... the event was bitter sweet knowing that this intensely amazing community space was being wrecked to the ground soon to create condos, and this would be the final au revoir to our beloved cradle of art-music--majik.
Rhymewave absolutely demolished the mic last night!! I mean he CRUSHED it, had the crowd chanting and singing along with him in some parts of his set. I did not record Cairoglyphs last night, but there is plenty of footage of his epicenes in the links below (from pervious Haven shows). Rhymewave is the featured artist of part 1.
I pondered what art piece I wanted to purchase to support the collective/commemorate my experiences for The Haven's final event much of the evening... and eventually I landed on this beautiful art-spell (above). I choose this for it's hand-written message over the print, along with the inspiring words hidden on the back (below). This piece now sits outside my vocal booth, which is also right outside my bedroom, reinforcing my ability to absorb the healing of self-empowerment each day and night... it is the first and last thing I see each day.

I could not have possibly hoped to fit all the visuals and video clips in one publication, but if you want to absorb all the majik I recorded, I will be posting the full length 30 minute long video in part 3 of this series (there is a GRIP of good footage). Part 2 of this series has hella lifted clips from the headliner jam-band Family Mystic. I was up rocking with the Haven-fam till about 4am last night, and rocked hard today on about 3 hours of sleep! I have had a FANTASITC 24 hours!!
