SoColo (@perkitory) and I's set hit hard on Saturday night (as you can see in the video), and every artist that performed laid down a unique and talented approach. I was especially impressed with Cairoglyphs (in video) and Water Eye, although I forgot to record any of her set. This my my first time seeing Water-Eye perform, but after seeing Cairo several times (and obviously being present for my own sets), these were my favorite sets from myself and Cairo recently.
::For my set in particular, I decided to see if other folks would record me (which they did), and retireve the files from them post-show. Thank you to @Alchemage for the photos, and to Emily Ra & Rhymeswave for the videos::
My homie Quest-I-On (1/2 of @Truniversal) even won the rap contest we hosted, during his first time ever visiting The Haven. We were hoping to see a little higher participation level, so hopefully next time there will be more artists that enter. Emily Ra's energy cleansing, invokations, and freestyle tarot readings was hella lifted as always, but I was pretty out of it for the rest of the event.
I was planning on capturing more video of other artists and having a meeting during the event, but something turned up my psychic meter to the overload position at one point, which incapacitated me for the rest of the evening. The height of this was during Krow's set which amplified it even further (you had to be there). I missed Rhymeswave's set, but he is a pro, and I am sure it was epic. I will instead follow up with a music-building/networking meeting next week, after my album release for Power of Truth this Friday (12-17-2021).
