Claiming right can end a man's life before his time.

In this our country Nigeria, in some part, we don't know the rules that guide the use of road expecially double lane.

My Shop is located along new express road double lane. It is expected that we road user .must follow the rules as to drive or walk on our lane base on where we are going. But many people don't want to know neither do they regard the rules.

At the early time that they finished the road, any time I want to cross the road I normally look at my left hand side before crossing because that is the right lane. One day I was standing on the road to cross as usual a motorcycle was coming on my right side hand that is actually a wrong lane to him, but he was looking for short cut. He nearly knocked me down with his motorcycle

From that day I learned not to look at my left hand side alone. From that day, any time I want to cross the road I must look at my left side and my right side before crossing, that is also because I have witnessed many accidents that has occurred because people prefer short cut then to follow their right lane that may be longer. that Nigeria for you.
