This is how we began the carnival celebrations (Eng/Esp)

Many countries around the world have elements that are associated with carnival activities. Venezuela has specific days in its calendar to celebrate these festivities, and they are usually held in February. The Ministry of Popular Power for Education plans them in such a way that schools share and celebrate them with everyone involved in education, especially children, with activities culminating in a parade of schools in the city center.

In Cumana, Sucre state, and particularly at the Maestro Prieto Figueroa Early Education Center, this was evident in the decorations in the hallways and classrooms. There is a team dedicated exclusively to promoting and organizing these events.

Although many religious and related organizations treat these carnival celebrations as paid events, they always take place and receive unimaginable support from the people of Cumaná, and not only from them but from all of Venezuela. I am convinced that these celebrations are held throughout the country.

Muchos países del mundo tienen elementos que se conjugan con las actividades referidas al carnaval. Venezuela tiene dentro de sus efemérides días puntuales para celebrar estas fiestas, y generalmente se realizan en el mes de febrero, incluso el Ministerio del Poder Popular para la Educación lo planifica de tal manera que las instituciones escolares lo compartan y celebran con todo las personas del quehacer educativo, y fundamentalmente con los niños y niñas, donde las actividades se cierran con desfile de escuelas en el centro de la ciudad.

En Cumaná, estado Sucre, y particularmente en el Centro de Educación Inicial Maestro Prieto Figueroa quedó demostrado, con decoraciones en pasillos y aulas de clases. Exclusivamente hay un equipo de difusión y organización para tales fines.

A pesar de que muchas organizaciones religiosas y afines asumen estas fiestas carnestolendas como pagabas siempre se hacen y reciben un apoyo inimaginable de la sociedad cumanesa, y no solo de esta si no toda Venezuela, estoy convencido que se celebran estas fiestas en todo el país.
