Despite the fact that these last few days I was lost and my desire to move forward was over, today I decided for myself not to give up and I managed to go out on my bike after many weeks of not being able to do it and now I take a walk around the city. I’m not happy but at least I struggle to continue and I think that’s also a good thing.

There's a very simple word we Venezuelans use when we see each other a few days after New Year's. It's a word that encourages us and at the same time reminds us how close we came to not being there. It's a word that sums up all our efforts throughout the year: "matriculaste" (you enrolled).

When you are young, you think you are indestructible, you feel like a kind of cartoon Superman, and you think you have no limits; therefore, you spend time inventing and doing crazy things, with the idea of enjoying the experiences that life gives us to the fullest.
