Why more Doctors should accept bitcoin for payment

As a technology is changing rapidly we as healthcare professionals should value how our patients want to pay for medical services. As a Medical Director for The Center for Internal & Integrative Medicine PA I recognize the benefits of using Bitcoin and other crypto coins as a virtual currency. Therefore, I have made the decision to accept Bitcoin for payment of medical services. I encourage other allied health professionals to do your research about blockchain technology before saying that bitcoin is a scam when you don't know anything about the technology.

We as healthcare professionals always value research so lets have a thoughtful conversation if you disagree and provide reasons why you feel the blockchain technology is bad? and why you feel cryptocurrency is bad? I truly believe that blockchain technology can change healthcare and provide real solutions to the challenges healthcare is facing.

Take for example you recently established care with a new physician and you don't have your medical records or you are waiting your records to be transferred to the new office. That might takes weeks, days or even hours to receive, which sometimes is frustrating for the physician and for the patient. Now imagine if you have a company that uses blockchain technology to create your medical record that is HIPPA protected and is available on your phone instant to show your physician. You are not waiting days or even hours but within minutes you have your medical records. Now that provides better healthcare and actually saves cost for the patient from repeat testing or multiple office visits.
