Waves Mobile App Update - Explore, My Waves and more

We are excited to announce the new version of Waves - the short content app powered by Hive blockchain. 🚀 Making short content surfing and engagement super easy! Exactly year ago we released initial version and wanted to gather feedback from short content creators, as it was new and short content was relatively new concept, we didn't see much growth. Now that almost all major apps support and give ability to interact, it was time to we dedicate some of our resources to keep Waves app up to date with improvements.

Are you Waves, Snaps, Moments or Threads fan, then you should have this app to interact with one or all of those short content feeds instantly and on go...

This release is our 1st update after initial release. It brings a smoother experience, faster login, better discovery tools, and important fixes. Let’s dive into what’s new:

• ⚡ Faster login - fetch account natively during authentication.

• 🔝 Back-to-top button for quick navigation.

• 👥 Voters list with image detection.

• 🌍 Explore and My Waves sections for easier content discovery.

• 🏷️ Linkified tags and user mentions (with avatars) on Explore page.

• 🛡️ Moderation filters - hide Muted, Hidden, Gray, Low-reputation content.

• 🔗 API service & pagination with sticky RPC node and direct node usage.

• ⏱️ Timeout handling and surfaced errors for better reliability.

• 📊 Refined comment checks and query improvements.

• ❌ Removed dbuzz integration for cleaner experience.

• 🔄 Rewrote iOS and Android platform bridges.

• 📡 Tag and account feeds now pull posts directly from the API.

🐞 Fixed

• 🖼️ Avatar resizing and image proxy issues.

• ⌨️ Keystroke request handling and profile fetching bugs.

• 🎨 Placeholder colors and content loading glitches.

• 🕒 Timestamp parsing with timezone offsets (no more format exceptions).

• 💥 Crash when viewing profiles if wave depth was missing.

• 🔽 Explore dropdown not reflecting selected thread type.
