In past 3 months, we have been working hard on completely migrating our website codebase away from old framework to new modern one. This post will be slightly technical but talks about our decision and motivations.

Razzlejs, while served us well over last 3 years. We think it is time we move forward to technology that allows us to support our scaling website. As we add more and more features, we want website to stay performant and intuitive, also utilize latest technologies. Challenge ourselves to grow while our community and codebase grows.

Nextjs, we watched how this framework grow to be one of the largest and most used opensource framework for Reactjs apps. Underlaying technology constantly developing and utilizing latest web development technics.

We are officially moving our entire website codebase from razzlejs into nextjs framework. This did increase and require extensive work compared to our initial estimates. But overall it was a worthy investment for future of the platform.
New codebase is not only fast and utilizing best practices reactjs offers, but it also allowing us to create more customization options. Custom solutions like breakaway communities and self-hosted blogs will be much easier to setup.

Expect some fresh look and updates on website in coming days.
