Ecency Mobile 3.5.5 - Searchable Emoji, Clipboard Paste, and a Better 3Speak Player

Another quality-of-life release for Ecency Mobile is rolling out today. 3.5.5 sharpens up the parts of the app you touch every day: writing posts, dropping in images, reacting with emoji, and watching embedded videos. Here is what is new.

Searchable emoji picker

The emoji picker now has a search bar at the top. Type a name or alias and the list filters instantly, with a friendlier empty state when nothing matches. The picker itself is also faster, with a one-time dataset build at load and tuned list rendering so scrolling stays smooth even on older devices. Reactions in chat now route through this same centralized picker, so the experience is consistent everywhere you can drop an emoji.

Clipboard image paste (iOS)

Copy an image anywhere on your iPhone and Ecency will notice. When the editor toolbar detects an image on your clipboard, a small "paste image" chip appears that you can tap to drop it straight into your post, or dismiss if you do not want it. The chip re-checks when you switch back to the app, and you can also long-press the image button on the toolbar to paste. Behind the scenes images are converted and compressed before upload so you are not pushing oversized PNGs through the network.

3Speak player fixes

Tapping a 3Speak embed inside a post now reliably opens the fullscreen video viewer, and the same improved tap handling applies to other non-YouTube inline videos. Less wrestling with the embed, more watching.

Smoother input handling everywhere

A large chunk of this release is invisible polish on text inputs across the app: login, register, beneficiaries, polls wizard, transfers, tag input, post description, quick post, and the markdown editor itself. Inputs are now ref-driven instead of state-driven, which means:

• Polls wizard: no more jumpiness while typing options

• Search: smoother, more responsive filtering as you type

• Numeric fields: comma-to-dot normalization so European decimal entry just works

• Auto-correction and validation: applied without fighting your cursor

• Points screen fixes

• Dropdown and options menu icons updated for visual consistency (horizontal dots replacing vertical)

• Legacy transfer_token route normalized so older deep links keep working

• New Crowdin translation updates across the app

• @ecency/sdk bumped to 2.2.10
