Ecency 4.4.0 is here: a week of updates worth exploring

We just shipped Ecency Web (Vision) 4.4.0, one of our biggest web releases yet. More than 100 changes went into this version, and they touch almost every part of the app: how fast pages load, how Waves work, how you publish, how you tip and pay, how you log in, and how safe your account stays.

Rather than drop it all at once, we want to walk you through the highlights over the coming days, one theme at a time. Here is what is on the way:

• A faster, cleaner Ecency. A redesigned mobile homepage and a much lighter app that becomes ready to use sooner on every device.

• Waves, leveled up. A single combined feed, payouts and reply counts on every card, and a friendlier experience from start to finish.

• New ways to create. Editor fixes, a rebuilt location picker, and a brand new meme maker.

• Points, tips, and easier payments. Buy Points with a card, pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay, and tip from almost anywhere.

• Safer logins and stronger security. A unified sign-in picker for browser extensions, plus a long list of security hardening.

• Chat, search, and discovery. A cleaner chat, smarter search defaults, and profile pages that work the way you expect.
