Depin strands for Decentralized physical Infrastructure network. Imagine opening a cell phone tower at your house that people connected to when they were in your area. The media was making a huge deal about 5G last year but 5G only makes sense if people are using it. But why would the majority of the world (which is not rich) choose to stay on networks that don't pay them residuals at all (ie t-mobile) when they could switch to Helium and get the same service with earning options.

But don't think that DEPIN is only invading cell phone towers. It's also coming for cloud storage offerings similar to Amazon Web services. There is a company called Uprock that's created a game out of cloud storage. It's crazy.

In addition to that, there are unique sectors like noise measurement that are being used in DEPIN via the Silencio network. I believe they're in beta as of this writing but they should be listing their noise token on an exchange soon. They have a mobile app developed and the UI looks nice but I think they need an onscreen introduction tutorial to show how people can use the app to actually collect noise in various areas of the world. This is the main point of the app but I got confused when attempting to do this in the app.
