Persistence

To persist is to keep trying no matter the number of times one fails. Persistence is quite different from stubbornness which is a deliberate attempt to decline a decision other than one he had resolved to do. One can be stubborn over wrong or right, but often has people opposing one's decision while persistence is used when trying to achieve a goal. Stubbornness oftentimes is done to prove one's masculinity, but persistence is to achieve a set goal.

Thomas Edison, Nelson Mandela, and the likes are figures who had shown great level of persistence in the midst of failure and opposition. Thomas Edison in every of his failed projects wasn't heartbroken but rather saw it as a means to his goal. While people saw it as failure, he saw it as a knowledge of how it wouldn't work and kept his dream alive. Not the need to prove a point, but a strong will to achieve his goal.

Persistency is a good thing. Everyone who had ever achieved a goal had some level of persistence that a lot of people who gave up along the way didn't. Everyone needs some level of persistence to be able to succeed in certain projects, else , there would be a lot of potential that a lot of people wouldn't be able to unravel. Persistence is good, and that's because nothing good comes easy, everything that's worthwhile has a lot of discouragement and failures along the path, only those who stand their ground no matter the number of times they fail truly meet their goal. Thomas Edison failed 99 times, but what kept him pushing was the spirit of perseverance and today he is celebrated for such a trait that's rare to possess.
