Dear Future Me, Your Present Self Won't Let You Down
Sometimes we wish to know what lies ahead of us. We hold strongly that the future is better even when it doesn't look like it in the present. A year from now seems long enough to have accomplished a lot of things, maybe not all, but something tangible to make me proud of myself. Here is a letter to my future self—a reminder to myself that I'm still in the working process and it's only a few months before everything I am working on starts to produce results.

Dear future me,
This is you before the future. I am currently 33, and a graduate with a lot of dreams that are yet to be fulfilled. I'm still single, but I should be married by this time next year. Every day I desire to embrace you. I have accomplished a few things, but they're not enough to make me feel comfortable enough to relax.
Early this year, I wrote down things I hoped to accomplish before meeting you. It's been half the year already, and it looks as if everything in life is against me. My cryptocurrency portfolio has been red, and daily I'm choked with a lot of activities to do. Even though the year still seems far, I know it's nearer than it seems.
Some nights I've cried, feeling exhausted and like a failure. Some nights I've prayed harder than before, wishing and hoping that I find favour. Some nights I've felt like giving up, but I still hold on tight, not because I still have enough strength in me, but because I know I owe you a brighter day that's better than today.
Sometimes I tell myself I was destined for greatness, and giving up is not an option even though things aren't going the way they should. I feel like blaming the government, economy, my parents, and everything but me, but this won't help me, so I've chosen to take 100% responsibility for whatever I am today.
So I'm writing to tell you never to give up on me because I've not given up on you. I will strive, I will work, and I'll make you proud. When next you meet me, I'll be a better version of myself. I may not have accomplished everything, but I'll make you proud of who I have become. While you wait on me, pray for me, because life in the present is full of ups and downs. Until we meet, I'll keep working and praying.
Yours sincerely,
Your present self.
