Google Introduces New Generation Pixel Tablet With Detachable Keyboard, The Verge reported. The new device will compete with iPad Pro and Surface Pro. Pixel Slate works with Chrome OS but nevertheless includes pretty serious parameters in the form of up to eighth generation Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB RAM, and 256GB storage.
The tablet has front speakers and a 12.3 "screen, which, according to Google, is faster and more efficient than traditional LCD solutions. There is a fingerprint reader built into the power button that has not been done on a Chromebook so far.
The removable keyboard is stylish and with non-standard, round keys. In addition, the backlight is available and works quietly. The tablet also supports the newly introduced Pixelbook Pen stylus.
The model will be available before the end of the year with prices starting at $ 599 for the Celeron processor. Prices will reach $ 1,599 and more for more powerful models. The keypad will be sold separately for $ 199.
