Introduction

I would like to announce the release of HiveDrop. HiveDrop is a self hosted, single file micro-post composer and editor for PeakD Snaps, InLeo Threads and Ecency Waves.

This is a sister project of my full post editor HiveWrite but just for the short form platforms here on Hive.

Just like my other projects SoloHive and HiveWrite, HiveDrop is self hosted on your hosting whether it be local or a hosting account of your choice. You are in control and not dependent on third party sites.

For such a smal app, HiveDrop is feature loaded.

• Correct per-platform metadata — each broadcast matches the native app's transaction format exactly
• Hive Keychain signing — your private keys never touch HiveDrop
• Basic formatting — bold, italic, strikethrough, link, image insert
• Emoji picker — built-in, no CDN required
• Light and dark mode — ships dark, toggleable
• Single file, no dependencies — one HTML file, no npm, no build step, no framework
• Transaction link — every successful post links to hive.ausbit.dev for verification (shoutout Hive account@ausbitbank)

HiveDrop is easy to download and use. And Keychain does all the signing for you.
