Dinner table conversations
Hello guys. This is my entry to the weekly prompt of the Thoughtful Daily Post. The conversation that happened at the dinner table between families is very healthy. I find them very interesting and empowering. In these conversations, parents get to know about their children. Children get to learn from their parents. And it establishes a very healthy bond between the family members.
Different cultures have different scenarios and perspectives regarding eating together and having dinner table conversations. It happens here as well. However, in my family, there is a small change. All of my family members are working people. My father, my mother, my siblings - everyone is consumed in their work life.
This is why we prefer having conversations at breakfast, during breakfast. All of them have different routines, some of them come back from work in the evening, some of them come during lunchtime. This is why it is very rare for us to have dinner together, and most of us are tired and exhausted with the entire day's work, this is why we prefer to eat in our own spaces and take rest.
These days, throughout the years, it has become a ritual for us to have breakfast together, even if one or two family members are not going to work, we have to do breakfast together. In these breakfast conversations, we get to know how our days are going and what is the problem that we are facing, what is the help that we need. It keeps us connected and updated about each other. And I find it very comforting for me. I want to share my life with my people. And I want to learn about their lives. So that I can stay connected and help them in any way possible.
Having conversations during breakfast, I find very fresh and refreshing. Because we are so excited about the day and we know how we are going to play and we give substantial thought and get information and opinions from our family at the same time about how we are going to go about things.
I have taken the pictures with my iPhone XR at my home on different days.
