Here’s a first look at Page 4 of Booked Soul Lighters Issue 1.

I drew the last two panels of this page traditionally in my book before scanning and finishing everything digitally. You can see the whole paper-to-pixels process in the video.

Why this page matters:
This chapter was inspired by a real interview my church did with our pastor. He shared what happens when a new Christian with two wives gets called to lead a church. The children usually carry the heaviest burden.

That story became the heart of Issue 1. I’m not going too deep into the polygamy angle, but I wanted to show the emotional cost of obedience — especially for the kids left behind.

The boy in this scene is from my other comic Silent Hawk... but you’ll learn his name soon.
