My Actifit Report Card: July 27 2026

Greetings, Actifitters!

Today was one of those days when you wish your only job was to sleep for 24 hours straight. I didn't get that much rest, but it got pretty boring since I couldn't go out much—the heavy rain began in the morning, right after I saw my dad off to catch his transport to work.

I walked with my dad to the main road, which turned out to be the Lagos/Ogun State toll gate. I didn't snap any photos of the toll gate itself, but it was jam-packed with trailers—three of them had flat tyres and were parked along the roadside.




On my way back, I realized I hadn't taken any pics yet, so I grabbed a few shots of what used to be an excavation site—no trucks or heavy machinery in sight anymore. Now, someone is simply taking advantage of the clay there to mold blocks for sale, or maybe they're planning to build a house. Either way, it caught my eye, and I later decided to "go green" with some nature captures. They're nothing fancy, but it felt good to capture something that anchors the moment. I spotted a nice looking grasshopper which was the last I took before going home

Sure enough, the rain kept at it not long after I got home, putting a damper on some of my plans. I ended up helping my mum with her student record sheets and other tasks that could have been done with Excel. In the end, I resorted to a calculator because my phone gave up on me 😩—plus, working on that tiny screen was never comfortable anyway.

I was hoping to catch up on sleep afterward, but all I could do was watch my brother drift off while I stayed wide awake.


This evening, once my phone had juiced up a bit, I was about to step out for a walk—but with siblings like mine, you can't exactly leave your served corn unattended 😅. So I settled for snapping pics of the water droplets resting on my mum's spinach leaves.

I've still got more work to help my mum with tomorrow—hopefully, the rain won't hold me back again.
