Mariner Xylo": My Alien Art Entry for the NFT Showroom x Alien Art Hive Challenge!

I'm excited to share my entry for the NFT Showroom x Alien Art Hive August Challenge. The theme "ALIENS" was so inspiring that I decided to create this piece entirely digitally using Sketchbook.

The Story Behind the Art

For this challenge, I envisioned an alien species that came from a distant, unknown planet. They were primarily crawling creatures, though the males had the unique ability to levitate up to three feet off the ground. My character, however, took an unexpected detour. After falling from space, he found a new home in the seas of Earth, which surprisingly welcomed him. It was there that he began a fascinating transformation, growing tails to replace his slimy feet, adapting to his new aquatic existence.

I have successfully minted this artwork on the NFT Showroom platform with the following description:

Whispers from the Deep Blue: They came crawling from the vastness of space. This one fell. The ocean answered. Observe the beginning of a new form, a tale of interstellar wanderlust and oceanic rebirth.
