AI is stealing attention from Blockchain

This is not a question neither anything that I read online. It is my observation.

Today, Feb 7, I'm working in a corporate event from a Portuguese multinational energy corporation. The main subject of the event is AI, AI this, AI that, if we don't go AI we will left behind, we can't hide from AI, and so on and so on.
This is just one example. During last year in all of corporate events I've worked, and I did many, specially in big corporation, all of them add at least a module about AI.

I still remind that 4, 5, 6 years ago on these same events, big companies corporate events, it was usual to have a speaker talking about Blockchain, Bitcoin, Ethereum.
Last year things had changed, AI, ChatGPT, automation, algorithm.

Blockchain is not anymore a thing in corporate talks

I believe that Blockchain is the future but start thinking that AI is gaining such importance with no return that could change everything we think the future will be, and I'm not talking about a 15 years future, I'm talking about tomorrow.
