Inspired action
Hi everyone!
My name is Doralisa, most of my friends call me Dora or D though there are some that prefer Lisa so I don’t really mind.
My siblings told me, I got my name cause my mum wanted Dorothy and my dad wanted Monalisa and since they couldn’t decide, my siblings supposedly joined the 2 names together lol.
Anyway, I was introduced to steemit by a good friend back in 2016 and I have been putting it off cause I always thought there was not much value I could provide and I never know what to type/talk about cause most times my brain works faster than my hands. Fast forward almost 2 years later, another kid to the mix, multiple business ventures and a ton of personal growth, I am ready to stop being scared/procrastinating and start taking inspired action towards a better year and life.
I am a GIA Gemologist, Jewellery Designer/Maker and Accredited Jewellery Professional by profession. I have been running my family business where I did everything from retail, to marketing, ideas, purchasing, accounts (basic), floor management etc for over 10 years. I have also done events, theatre production, ticketing, dance, martial arts, booth managing, pop up stores, behind the scene comedy shows/movie/extras... and more. Lol
I’d like to think I’ve led a colourful life so far.. I have 2 kids and over the past few years I may have lost some of that colour. The last year was a big wake up call. I realised I always did what others wanted instead of what was best for myself and my family - and so a huge change started towards the end of last year.
I am now starting on my journey as a mompreneur - creating, designing, making jewellery with meaning and purpose, also working on a DM business with my husband and I have taken the leap to study again and will start with my healing&coaching services before 2018 ends :)
Everyone has had a rollercoaster ride called life.
No ones ride is better or worse but there’s always something we can learn from each others experience on this ride. I’m happy and grateful for a community like steemit where we are able to do just that and MORE.
