DIY tips-n-tricks #2 - Better Than WD-40!

Thought I'd give you all a quick little handy tip, being that I've been tinkering around with rusty crap for 35+ years. Also, because I love you and you deserve it.

Next time you're at the flea market, estate sale, etc. grab one of these little oil cans with the trigger. Old-timers usually have 'em in their workshops. They're usually a buck or so, but even if you can't find one, Harbor Freight also sells them new for, like, 4 bucks.

Fill it with a 50/50 mixture of acetone and transmission fluid.

You now have an awesome penetrating oil that kicks the ass off WD-40, PBlaster, Kroil, or whatever other overpriced crap you want to try to put up against it. I've seen numerous tests in magazines and such, and this mixture wins hands-down every time.
Plus, it costs way less than any of the above, the can is refillable so you don't have any waste, and you don't release any CFCs in the atmosphere like you would with a spray can.
You're welcome.
