The Darkness Inside (Original Poem)
In the darkness of the human soul,
Lies a depth that's hard to control.
A place where light doesn't seem to touch,
And pain and fear demand so much.
Each heart holds stories left untold,
Of tragedies and horrors unfold.
Emotions writhing, seeking release,
Aching to find some inner peace.
For in the shadows we try to hide,
Our deepest fears that often collide.
We paint on smiles and wear masks all day,
Just to make it through in our own way.
The sorrow echoes like a silent scream,
As we battle demons inside unseen.
And yet, amidst this endless night,
There shines a tiny spark of light.
Hope flickers - faint but true,
Whispering of peace anew.
Where scars will heal and darkness fade,
Into warmth, love, and bright arcade.
We are not just made of despair and woe,
But also love, kindness, goodwill show.
Though the darkness may linger on for life's span,
With strength, we can be whole again.
