Eevee ex From Pokemon's Terastal Festival Set

Hi there. In this short Pokemon TCG post I cover the release of Eevee ex. This Eevee ex is the first card revealed from the set Terastal Festival to be released on December 6.

Eevee ex is a Tera Basic Colourless Pokemon with 200 HP, one retreat cost and Fighting weakness. Its attack of Quartz Shine requires one Fire Energy, one Water Energy and one Lightning Energy to do 200 damage. This Eevee's ability is called Rainbow DNA. This ability cannot be used during your first turn on or on the turn this Eevee ex was put into play. Basic Pokemon ex are not able to evolve but with this Eevee ex you can evolved this into a Pokemon ex that evolves from this Eevee ex.

As of late October 2024, we have Sylveon ex available out of the Pokemon ex that evolves from Eevee. This is speculation but I think we could get all of the evolved forms of Eevee. These would be:

• Vaporeon ex
• Flareon ex
• Jolteon ex
• Espeon ex
• Umbreon ex
• Leafeon ex
• Glaceon ex

This Eevee ex could in theory evolve into any of its evolution forms. An Eevee based set could be released in Japan first then internationally in the span of six months. My guess.

As Eevee ex is a colourless Tera Pokemon it does synergize with Glass Trumpet. Attach whatever Basic Energy from discard to a Benched Eevee ex before evolution.

Surging Sparks Eevee (Single Prize Eevee)

The Eevee ex is a two prize Pokemon that could be a target for the opponent. This Eevee from the upcoming set Surging Sparks is a good alternative.

It may be weak at 50 HP but its ability is quite powerful. If this Eevee is in the Active Spot it can evolve during your first turn or the turn you play it. An evolution on the first turn going first or second is quite powerful in terms of fast setups. An Eevee themed deck could run both Eevee versions. This one and the Eevee ex.
