Lee McQueen mocks French couture
In order to make a statement about the excessive production of fashion, McQueen looked back to earlier collections, particularly "The Birds", in which prints transformed from birds into houndstooth check. McQueen mocks the traditional French couture houses who replay the same idea over and over again, so reminiscent of Maison Dior. (C) Judith Watt.
