ACTIVITY YOUR POTENTIAL

Text: “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee a prophet unto the nations.” Jer 1:5
Our birth was a calculated, deliberate and a conscious act of God. None of us is a biological accident irrespective of the circumstances of our birth. It therefore means that there is a predetermined end or destiny for each one of us. We find this concept all over scriptures. Romans 8:30 in NIV says “And those he predestined, he also called...” Whatever your own may be it is great and glorious. God decides the end from the beginning according to Isa 46:10. When an actor writes a script he has a predetermined end in mind. He completes the scripts and then come to the beginning and then carries out the various roles to achieve the end that was already pre-determined.
Purpose is God’s pre-determined end for our lives. Purpose is the specific role you were meant to play in life. It is God’s assignment for our lives. Purpose is what you are specifically designed, equipped and anointed to do in life.
It’s powerful to have a sense of purpose in life. Purpose gives our lives focus. It produces in us a sense of meaning and significance. It brings deep fulfilment into our lives that we cannot get anywhere.
Understanding our potentials and activating it begins from an understanding of purpose.
Potentials are simply the resources that God has packaged in us to fulfil his ultimate purpose for our lives. A manufacturer decides what a product will be used for and then designs and equips the product with all the features for its role. Potentials are talents, skills, gifts and strengths. Potentials are innate abilities. Individual purpose is what determines their potential. Whatever God calls for he provides for. Whatever God is asking you to do in life is already provided for within you. We’ll continue tomorrow.
PRAYER:
Thank you Lord for the talents and gifts you have deposited in my spirit. I declare that more than ever before your investments in me will begin to find expression.
