Pixelart Contest #7: Forest

I got bored in the last hour of my work and started working on this. Went home to finish it. I tried a few things before deciding to again stick with black and white, as I think this is a good style to work in as I continue learning how to draw.

Decided to keep it small. Using Piskel. Made some borders at 4 pixels.

The prompt was forest. Started making tree outlines. Didn't like it.

Looked up a picture of a skull instead. Tried to draw the outline. I thought it was pretty cool.

Threw some trees on it. Okay. Now this is forest-ish.

At home, using PS. Dithered the bottom portion. Then accidentally deleted this file and had to use the screenshot as the new file.

Here's one version of it, but I'm not happy enough with it yet.

A small version 128 bit.

Is it perfect? Not at all. I wanted to make a giant decaying skull with trees growing on it. Did I overdo it on the dithering? Maybe, and if you think so, let me know. Cause I'm very much learning as I go here. But I think this is cool, and I feel like I gained some XP. So go ahead and join the contest yourself!
